This pendant is inspired by a Viking key design. Keys were a status symbol for women in Viking times - an indication of power and wealth - and were often worn on a chain hanging from a belt around the waist as a visible status symbol.
My Viking keys draw inspiration from real Viking keys but are not in any way intended to be replicas.

Full description
Taking inspiration from a Viking key design this sterling silver pendant has been crafted by hand from Eco Silver wire and heated to give the silver an ancient, worn and imperfect appearance. The surface is deliberately pitted and uneven in some places, and has a more fluid look in others. It has been finished all over with a brass brush to achieve a glowing shine.
Pendant size - approximately 35mm high (not including the soldered top ring) by 20mm wide.
Chain - 24 inch Italian sterling silver belcher chain (stamped 925)
Eco Silver - Eco Silver is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
All my jewellery is made by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques.
Your pendant will be sent by first class post in a little dark grey Kraft gift box made from 100% recycled fibres on a bed of 100% Eco Fibre filling wrapped in a band of linen.
