I was so lucky to find this wonderful Matthew Williamson fabric in a sale of remnants from an interiors shop in York. Its beautiful Lyre birds make it an unusual print, with a hint of the exotic.

Full description
With a pair of exotic birds on the front, this beautiful fabric remnant has stitched up into a rather special little bag with a hint of luxury. Its blues and greys with a touch of orange give it an unusual colour combination and a calming feel. This is a practical little make up bag that would double up for small amounts of toiletries or as a pretty storage purse. It would make a great present for someone who needs to organise their makeup! for a lover of birds or as a Mothers Day present.
The fabric has been backed onto canvas to give it some body.
It measures 22 cm across, widening slightly towards the base, and measures 15 cm down. A tuck at each end, gives it a 3 cm wide base, to make it more roomy.
There is a 22 cm green colour zip fastening, and a green or cream ribbon pull.
It is lined with black and white striped ticking, and and there's a practical hook to hang it up and admire the birds. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please note, that the pattern placement may vary a little from bag to bag.
This bag can be dry cleaned, or washed carefully in cool water, and dried on the line.
I like to recycle where I can. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and will be sent as Royal Mail 2nd class post.
