I like to winkle out these fragments of careworn linens on my fabric hunts. I even like their washed and faded appearance, and it's great to be able to give them a new lease of life, and keep them valued a little longer.

Full description
This pretty lavender bag is made from the corner of a lovely old table cloth. Its sweet circle of leaves and pink roses was the perfect size for a lavender bag, and I have made the back from a different section of the same cloth. It has a softly washed and faded feel, showing its history as an often laundered table cloth for special occasions. It is filled with dried lavender from Terrington in North Yorkshire. Lavender has been used for centuries to aid a good nights sleep, keep clothes smelling fresh, and ward off pesky moths. This pretty vintage embroidery lavender bag would be lovely to store in a drawer with a bridal gown, as a house warming present or as a gift for Mother’s Day.
This little bag measures 9 cm by 9 cm
Inside is nestling a tiny muslin pillow filled with English lavender from North Yorkshire.
There is a practical hook for popping onto a clothes hanger or hanging up in a bedroom, to keep the air sweet.
The front and back are made from different sections of the same vintage embroidery, and create a different design front and back.
The bag is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Just squeeze gently from time to time to refresh your lavender scent.
I like to reuse as much as possible. Your little bag will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be sent out to you by Royal Mail 2nd class with proof of posting.
