Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.

With some detective work you can still trace the history of this little bag. Its curved dome and old, worn, stitching give away its previous life as a tea cosy! Luckily, enough fragments survived for me to stitch together and make a new piece with a new history.

Full description
This pretty little bag was once a vintage embroidered tea cosy. It has a strap which can be worn across the body, closes with a zip, and has a scattering of faded and worn embroidered flowers all over the front, proudly showing their age.
It's the perfect bag for special occasions, perhaps a summer party or wedding. It would also make a lovely present for an embroiderer, or fabric collector.
The bag is a half moon shape, with an embroidered front and blue denim back.
It closes with a 20 cm beige zip which has a flower head pull.
The strap is 142 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
It is decorated with pale green and blue vintage ric rac braid and two old linen buttons.
The lining is made from a maroon and cream vintage floral fabric, and has a small internal pocket with my embroidered name tag stitched on.
I always try to reuse. Your bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be sent out as 2nd class Royal Mail,with proof of posting. This takes about 3 days.
