A lovely summers day when the bright red postbox showed up beautifully against the colour of the old stone wall that surrounds my local park.

Full description
The iconic British sight of a bright red Royal Mail postbox has been captured here in this original textile art designed and made by myself.
Carefully hand cut pieces of pretty spotty fabrics have been laid onto a neutral linen type fabric to make the wall and post box. Freehand machine embroidery techniques have been used to add the details.
The foliage and wild flowers that you find growing in the crevices of the wall were all hand embroidered.
The finished piece has been stretched and mounted onto an 8 inch square canvas and is ready to hang or stand on a shelf or small easel. (Not Supplied).
Would make an ideal gift for a retiring post person or Royal Mail worker or someone who loves iconic British scenes.
