Full description
This piece of original textile art has been made using a number of techniques.
Firstly, the background fabric has been painted so that the colours blend beautifully; using vibrant colours of orange, peach and yellow, that were inspired by the many sunset skies that I'm so lucky to witness from my west facing house.
Rings of varying sizes were then hand cut, from felt and spotted cotton fabric, and appliqued to the background, some overlapping, and each one completely hand stitched.
More rings were then added using a number of different hand embroidery stitches.
Finally, hundreds of individually, hand stitched seed stitches were used to fill areas, in and around the rings to add even more texture.
The piece measures approximately 30.5cm x 20.5cm (12 x 8 inches).
It will come to you mounted onto mount board and UNFRAMED.
The composition is such that the artwork may be viewed vertically or horizontally to your individual taste.
Please Note: Colours may vary slightly to those you see here, due to different screen settings, but I do try to show as true representation of the colours in the images as possible.
