My children used to love carrying little toys around when they were little but we found playmats were often too large. I designed them small enough to fit in a bag andwith a pocket to store those special creatures.
Great for playing at home or on the go, with friends or alone, my play scenes will stretch your child's imagination and learning.

Full description
Under the Sea is a striking play scene, hand made with wool felt motifs that have been hand and machine embroidered onto a watery backdrop create a gorgeous under the sea habitat, complete with a cave like pocket for your child's little shark, fish or even mermaid toys.
In vivid colours and with lots of textural interest, this play mat is both fun to play with and great for developing children's creative and thinking skills. Ideal as a special gift, I can even post on your behalf with a message in a card - add my separate upgrade listing to your order.
Designed and hand made to order by me, my playmats are made like little quilts, with a soft wadding layered between the embroidered scene and the outer cover which is themed to extend play. See options for choice of covers. A name or short phrased can be hand embroidered - see image of an example from my safari playmat.
SIZE/STYLE:
original travel size 10 by 20 inches when open (25 by 50cm)
larger square versions are 10 by 20 inches (50 by 50 cm).
Perfect for using with your child's own toy animals such as Schleich, ELC, Wild Republic - typical height 1 to 2 inches. Please note the toy animals in the photos are for display purposes only and are not included.
Care: Sponge clean or gentle hand washing. Natural flat drying.
My play on the go play scenes are tested to EN71 standards and are UKCA / CE marked.
