Hi I am Di, I am an award winning maker, designer based in Romford Greater London.
I have been making and designing for over 45 years. Back in 2008 I took the leap of faith, and become a fulltime designer, maker and teaching jewellery making and crafts. I have been a guest designer on TV shopping channels with my jewellery making kits and supplies, I have also appeared in several magazines with my how-to tutorials.
2023 seen a change in direction for me retiring from teaching jewellery and making kits to be sold on the TV shopping channels, to becoming a fulltime designer maker and seller.
I love making lampwork beads (handmade glass beads) in my glass studio in Romford and can often be found walking around in Diddum glasses, you need these to see inside the flame and protect your eyes when lampworking.
I also enjoy, silversmithing, jewellery making or hand embroidering a book cover, lavender bag or designing a new kit for others to learn a new technique.
Inspiration comes from various places, living in greater London I have the best of both worlds, the Essex countryside and coast as well as the inner-city vibe. I love to travel and often go to a class whilst on holiday to meet and connect with other creatives as well as learning new skills. My moto is you are never too old to learn new things.
