Much of my work is decorative and inspired by nature. I enjoy the patterns created by the repetition of similar forms; the markings on feathers, the textures on bark, the veining on leaves etc. I have used owls in many of my book illustrations and textile designs. Their solemnity and their beauty have always fascinated me. We lived in a house on the edge of Cannock Chase, a little owl visited us in the early evening and sat on a post directly outside or window. This Lino print is a tribute to him.

Full description
Hand pulled original lino print, signed, edition size 30, printed onto a cream/off white heavyweight Somerset paper. This lovely mold made paper is made from 100% cotton to high archival standards. I have used black Sakura oil based ink. Featured in the book "The Elegant Fowl" by Alan Marshall, Mascot Media.
