I'm deeply inspired by the flora surrounding me, the idea that you can preserve a moment of time.
I strive to capture the essence of the plant.,its unique character, translating its organic lines into the enduring form of a vessel.
Snowdrops to me hold so much promise, a display that spring is around the corner.
A show of nature's true resilience, a powerful reminder that even in the harshest conditions life emerges beautifully.

Full description

This handcrafted ceramic vase captures the essence of the season, decorated with flowers and leaves.

Snowdrops hold such promise of the year to come, their ability to bloom showing nature's true natural resilience. A symbol of hope and new beginnings. Their delicate beauty emerging from the cold ground is a powerful reminder that even in the harshest conditions life persists and flourishes.

Each piece is unique, it is handmade so doesn't have the perfection of a mass produced piece.

The petals and flowers are arranged to showcase their natural beauty.

I work using stoneware and the handbuilding technique, I hope my work offers a moment of connection to the natural world.

The vase is then fired to 1250',then bought to life using a green colour wash and oxide, delicately applied, settling into the textured surfaces and crevices, adding depth and richness

It is sustainably made in my small garden studio in the Lincolnshire Wolds, surrounded by my own collection of garden flowers..

The piece is finally glazed inside and out to allow a small posey of flowers.

Approximately 13cm by 6cm

Designed by Hannah Goldsmith in Lincolnshire Wolds
