This piece continues my fascination with ancient Japanese Raku firing techniques. The experimental method of reduction produces exciting and unpredictable results.

Gorgeously rugged and textured black stoneware Chaiwan teabowl. Hand carved using Kurinuki technique and fired in a Raku kiln. Not food safe.
