This warm, orange-red stone is a variety of Chalcedony, a member of the Quartz family.
Used as an adornment by man for over 4,500 years, this stone has come to symbolise health, luck and royalty.
It was prescribed by ancient healers to 'invigorate the blood'.
It is considered a birthstone for July and Cancer, as an alternative to Ruby.

Full description
These drop earrings feature a 12mm Czech glass clear disc with wavy stripes of black, purple, red and yellow.
Each disc is topped with a 6mm frosted Carnelian bead Tibetan flower spacer, and a pair of 4mm natural Carnelian beads separated by a 4mm Swarovski 'smoked topaz' bicone.
The beads hang from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
