Tiger or Tiger's Eye is a popular member of the Quartz family that is usually amber to golden-brown, with a silky lustre, and displays 'chatoyancy', or 'cat's eye'- the characteristic vertical flash when it catches the light.
In ancient Egypt, the stone was believed to be all-seeing, and was used for the eyes of deities.
Roman soldiers wore it in battle in the belief it would give them the courage and strength of a tiger.
It is still regarded as a stone of courage, strength and vitality.
Mythology portrays the butterfly as a messenger from the spirit world.
In Chinese lore they represent joy, warmth and transition.
In Christianity they symbolise resurrection, making them a good choice as as an Easter gift.

Full description
This golden brown necklace features 6mm and 4mm Tiger Eye beads interspersed with Tibetan style antique gold barrel beads, highlighted with tiny 2mm black Onyx and embellished with an 8mm quality Austrian crystal butterfly bead in the colour 'peridot'.
It fastens with a Tibetan style rose toggle clasp with an antique gold finish.
The clasp and barrel beads are nickel and lead free.
The Tiger's Eye beads are a lovely golden brown with good chatoyancy.
Hand made in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, this would make an ideal gift for a birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day, Easter, Valentine's, or keep it as a treat for yourself.
This necklace measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
