I was offered some cherry wood from a local cherry orchard that was felled for new trees as long as I collected it. This I could not resist and after seasoning for a couple of years it has given me some very nice warm coloured, nicely grained wood to work with. Bottle openers are just the start with the smaller pieces.

Full description
Bottle opener made from a piece of locally sourced cherry wood from a cherry orchard that was felled for new trees. I seasoned the wood for a couple of years and now have some nice light coloured wood with a warm colour to work with. It has been finished with a melamine lacquer for hard wear but should only be wiped clean and dried not soaked as this could damage it. The metal insert is chrome plated. It should give many years of service if looked after, I know mine has. It is approx. 16cm long and 3cm wide.
