Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

My name's Debbie and I'm a cowlaholic. I've been designing, knitting and wearing cowls for years - I just love how simple and tidy they are to wear with no 'ends' to come undone! At the same time, the possibilities for shape, size, pattern and wearability are endless. Most of my cowl designs start with the yarn I'm using - the way different yarns drape, behave and feel only becomes obvious when you've made something with them, so I have to kiss a lot of frogs before I find just the right shape for each yarn to become!

Wrap yourself up in shades of pink and purple with this practically sized, super soft knit cowl.
This cowl is a smaller version of my larger Shaded English Rose Tweed cowl, which is my own original design, here knit into stripes rather than blocks of colours. I've knit this version with three shades of Malabrigo’s Worsted Merino kettle dyed yarn – the softest pure wool you’ve ever encountered! The colours are Pink Frost, Damask Rose and Uva and along one edge of the cowl, you can see where I've twisted them together as I worked the stripes, which creates a kind of pretty candy cane edging.
The stitch pattern I’ve used in the cowl is a brioche knit pattern that produces a lovely textured effect that looks almost as good on the back as on the front. The fabric this stitch creates doesn’t curl at the edges and it is super warm due to the almost honeycomb effect of the brioche stitches.
The cowl is 137cm (54in) long and 18cm (7in) wide – easily long enough to wrap around your neck a couple of times.
Please note that the postage cost is for the first class, signed for Royal Mail service.
