Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.
I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: https://www.instagram.com/the_crimson_rabbit/ but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here: www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk, my facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thecrimsonrabbitpage and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here: http://www.pinterest.com/crimsonrabbit/

I designed this cowl to celebrate a beautifully textural stitch, and the super soft handle and pleasing colouring of Malabrigo’s Merino Worsted yarn in semi-solid shades.
The pattern booklet you will download has 4 different options for this cowl - two are generously sized (the first photograph of this listing shows you a yellow version of the larger size) and two are what I've called 'mini me' sizes, designed to use up the leftovers of the skeins you'll need to make the larger options. Both sizes have options to work straight colour changes and 'staged' changes, that both create different effects, which makes 4 patterns in all.
A number of different examples are included in the photographs and you can see all the variations I've made so far on my Ravelry project page.
The stitch pattern I’ve used in the design is a brioche knit pattern that produces a lovely textured effect.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Please note - this listing is for a hand knitting pattern, not a finished item. You will receive a PDF file with full written instructions (English only, no chart) on how to knit this cowl in 4 different options. The file includes photographs of the finished cowls and the pattern booklet is arranged so that you only need to print the option you wish to knit. I'll email the pattern to the email address you use for your purchase within 1 working day.
You can, of course, choose to make any of these cowls in whatever yarn you like of the same weights. Bear in mind though that the nature and colour of the yarn you choose will impact the look of the final piece.
Skills you need to know for this pattern: provisional cast on, how to knit, purl, knit into stitch below, kitchener stitch or 3 needle bind off. The original option needs 4 skeins of Malabrigo Worsted. The smaller options use the leftovers from the large options.
The stitch pattern I’ve used in the design is a brioche knit pattern that produces a lovely textured effect that looks almost as good on the back as on the front (you can see the reverse of the stitch in the last photo). The fabric this stitch creates doesn’t curl at the edges and it is super warm due to the almost honeycomb effect of the brioche stitch
See the 'Inspiration' section for more info and message me if you have any questions.
