Originally inspired by a photograph I took and then sketched a few years ago, of a group of tiny little toadstools, their heads just showing amongst the grass.
I found out that they are often call 'Fairies Bonnets' which sounds so lovely, and I can just imagine little fairies dancing around with them on their heads! Can't you?!

Full description
The background and toadstools were painted first, then once dry, hand stitched details were added using embroidery threads to give texture to the fungi and blades of grass.
The piece measures approximately 10.5cm x15.5cm (4 x 6 inches), so about the size of a postcard.
It is mounted onto mount board and laced at the back; ready for you to pop into your own frame should you wish.
FRAME NOT INCLUDED
Ideal for any fungi lover, or fairy!
