My shop will be closed from 15th December until 26th December 2024. Wishing you all a peaceful and relaxing Christmas.

Due to updated UK government and EU regulations I am not able lo accept orders from Northern Ireland or to ship there. Apologies to those in that part of the UK.

The Lucienne Collection is named after the textile designer Lucienne Day whose work in the 1950s influenced a wide area of design. Her textile ‘Calyx’ was created for the Festival of Britain in 1951 and is still much admired today. She explored many design sources, but my Lucienne Day favourites, such as Calyx, are from the natural world. My own designs feature a nod to cow parsley, marsh grass, vine tendrils and country landscapes.

Full description

Freddie is a softly rectangular mini vase to take a single flower bud, a small posy of kitchen herbs, hold pens and pencils, or even chopsticks . Freddie is handmade in matt black stoneware ceramic with three bands of pastel colours, and motifs of cow parsley and twisty tendrils carved into the colour surface before firing – a technique known as sgraffito. Freddie can also be grouped with others from the Lucienne Collection to form an eyecatching arrangement. Underneath you’ll find my potter’s mark of a swallow in flight. The piece is just 8.5 cms high x 4cms x 3cms.
