At the moment I am not able to take orders from Northern Ireland or ship there. Apologies to those in that region.
I like to work with the minimum of tools so that each piece reflects the nature of the material and me as the maker, and so that hand-made can be literally what it says! The motifs and designs on my pieces are influenced by early to mid-20th century textile patterns and abstract art of that time. While there are recurring shapes, motifs and colours in my work, each piece differs in its form and decoration, and I really enjoy thinking that each person who owns one of my pieces, has something that is completely unique.

A pretty, fresh, contemporary vase for flowers, buds and foliage! I handmade the vase, which I call Pia, from black stoneware clay and decorated with a wide central band of lemon yellow and incised seedhead motifs. The band of decoration is bordered above and below by lemon yellow handpainted stitch effect. I like to leave the outside of my vases unglazed to show off the natural matt clay texture, and I finish the interior in an iron lustre high gloss fired glaze to hold water for your wildflower, posy, garden flower, or bouquet arrangement. The interior fires to brown, blues and russet shades so the interior is as interesting as the exterior! The shape has a squared-off flared rim, and the vase is 14cms high. Pia would fit in with country style or minimalist décor, and is an original design inspired by 1950s textiles.
