I love bumblebees and know how important it is to look after our bee population.
Last year we had a bumble nest in a cavity of our conservatory and although a little unnerving at first, it seemed that as long as we gave them a wide birth and left them alone, they left us alone.
Later on in the year the bees fled, but I was glad that we had restrained from getting anyone in to remove them and had just left them to their own devices.

Full description
This cute felt bumblebee brooch has been designed and handmade by myself.
Using very small stitches for the features, I have managed to capture the character of this little bumblebee from my final drawn design.
The body and wings have been cut from acrylic felt, and carefully hand-stitched into place with some extra stitched detailing to the wings.
Small seed beads have been hand-stitched at the ends of the antenna to finish.
The bee is set against a sky blue, circular, felt background, with hand-stitched detail around the perimeter.
On the back, is a pin bar fastening with safety catch.
The brooch will come to you presented on a display card tag.
Brooch diameter measures 6cm.
This cute little bee brooch, would look lovely pinned onto a coat, jacket or scarf, or why not pin it to your bag!
Ideal gift for nature lovers, bee keepers, or anyone who just loves bees!
Also a great gift for anyone who collects and displays unique pins or badges and anyone who loves handmade items.
