This gorgeous bunting was originally designed by my daughter when she was studying textile design technology as one of her GCSE subjects. She made customised denim shorts from preloved jeans and wanted me to put the left over denim from the legs to good use.
I have continued to make them as they are a great way to upcycle old jeans and also use up my floral print scraps.

Zero Waste! This gorgeous bunting has been made from upcycled and reclaimed fabrics from my other makes. On the one side is denim and lace - pieces of light and dark denim carefully cut from upcycled jeans, and trimmed with pieces of vintage and new cotton crochet lace.
And just reverse the bunting around if you fancy a different look - each flag is backed with floral prints that have been reclaimed from vintage clothing or salvaged from dressmaking and patchwork projects. Prints will vary but will be soft shades of blues, greens or pinks.
Each flag is securely sewn to a quality woven tape which has been folden and top stitched for extra strength. Loops at each end for hanging.
There are 8 flags, each measuring 7.5 inches (19cm) wide and 9 inches deep (22cm).
The full length of the bunting is 85 inches - about 215 cm.
Care: Can be washed as cotton but I recommend 30 degrees. Line or tumble on low. Iron as cotton.
