Passionate about creating. Have always loved sewing since childhood when I used to make clothes and gifts for family. Being eco-friendly and up-cycling are key drivers for me and I always source re-cycled materials to make my products if I can. Started my sewing business journey during the pandemic, selling loads of personalised face masks. Now committed to helping people with dementia and focussing my sewing projects on products to help those with memory loss. My own personal experience of caring for my dad with Alzheimer's gave me insights into understanding the sorts of activities that can stimulate, inspire, trigger memories and keep fingers and hands warm and busy. I make personalised 'busy' blankets with an array of attachments to fiddle with and explore. My fidget cuffs are designed to cover the arm and hands as well as stimulate the senses, so serve a dual function for the user. Meal times and special celebration events with loved ones are vital for maintaining social interaction and my dignity bibs are a great way to keep clean and tidy as well as looking smart whilst eating. When I'm not sewing, I'm either long distance running or singing in my local Rock Choir.
