Just simply love creating! I have been designing silver jewellery under the name Silver Wire Designs since 2006, won an international award for my designs which have featured in several magazines including Vogue, Tatler and Making Jewellery.
Many years ago, I made waistcoats and bow ties for men and won a Brides magazine readers award for my designs. After a long break from sewing have recently got the passion back and now really enjoy making bags.
Interesting fact - I’m a descendent of at least 6 generations of the Bedfordshire lacemakers so it must be in the blood. I weave the thread bracelets on a cushion in a similar way to lace makers.
In addition, I am a trained designer so have fun designing personalised items for mugs, water bottles and mirrors.
The animals are hand decorated decoupage style. People think I’m crazy when I tell them that I cut each paper flower out individually and stick them on, one-by-one, it does take time, but I find the whole process therapeutic.
My wall art is made when I have the time to work organically and freely. I use a combination of mixed media including crystals, mirrors, paint, resin and pearls to create one off pieces.
Creating keeps me happy; I love having the freedom to try new things and experiment.
