Yorkshire lass who loves experimenting with fabric

I've always made things, but am new to selling. I get inspiration from playing with materials. I love looking at vintage craft books and magazines.

I've been dyeing silk velvet and silk using a resist technique called shibori for a few years. It's like a child's joy at Christmas when I unwrap the piece after dyeing and look at the patterns! I also alter clothes.

I've got a Pfaff needle-felting machine which uses barbed needles to mesh wool onto a fabric background.

More recently, I've bought a Glowforge, a laser cutter which engraves and cuts leather, wood, acrylic, fabric and paper.

I've been wearing old clothes since the late '70s and love filling the house with vintage treasures.

We've have two rescue cats, Wendy and Wilma, who are sisters.
