I went to an exhibition of shibori dyed scarves and clothing. I hadn't heard of that technique before. I bought books about it and had a go, on cotton, initially. When I had more experience, I tried silk and silk velvet

Full description
Scarf has been dyed using a Japanese technique called shibori. The material is concertinaed onto a pipe and dye applied so that not all the dye gets through to the centre, giving a variation in colour effect.
Silk velvet is soft to the skin and long-lasting.
Size 129.5 x 35cm/51 x 13 13/16th" (length x width, approximate). Hand wash.
