It is with great sadness that after many months of consideration, we have decided to close our Folksy shop, with a permanent closing date of 30th November 2024.

Welcome to Poppy Darling!

We are Annie & Elsie, a mother, daughter team who fidget and create through difficult days.

Inspired by nature and natural materials, we create simple, colourful pieces that appeal to playful individuals. Intermittent makers we turn to needle felting & crochet as therapy, using one material and one tool each.

We make everything from scratch, from 100% wool felt sheets, eye details- the hashtag 'slowmade' was made for us! We find pleasure in the creative process and the longer we can spend on a piece, the better- seeing our materials' tactile versatility translate in our finished pieces is thrilling and keeps us naturally curious to incorporate elements of nature in our makes for all lovers of nature to enjoy.

Led by our headspace, you will often find one off pieces reflecting our mood & need to be creative, escaping the realities we are often faced with that are far away from our colourful, quirky pieces.
