Full description
This Puffin sculpture is a mini version of one listed elsewhere in my shop. The puffin has been needle felted using woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle that binds the fibres together and sculpts them into shape. White core fibres form the basic shape after which a top coat of black and white merino wool fibres is added with appropriate markings around the head. The legs are formed from wool wrapped wire, the eyes are beaded and a beak made from air dry clay, which has been hand coloured, has been added.
The puffin has been mounted on small circular wooden base. The puffin stands approximately 10cm tall. Please note I have 2 of these puffins available that differ slightly due to their handmade nature, one will be sent at random.
