Full description
The green man is traditionally thought of as a symbol for rebirth and is a popular wall decoration. This green man has been needle felted using green woollen fibres to create the circular base and features. A barbed felting needle is used to bind these fibres together and sculpt them into shape. Oak leaves have been cut from a sheet of 100% wool felt in a moss green shade of green, vein markings added and needle felted into place around the circumference. The eyebrows and moustache are formed from wool wrapped wire allowing them to be gently shaped as required. A small brass ring has been secured to the reverse of the sculpture to facilitate hanging.
The green man measures approximately 9" (23cm) in diameter.
I would not recommend hanging this green man outside.
