My original cyanotype prints, whether they are on books or dishes or cards, are created using wildflowers gathered from the hedgerows around my beautiful Wiltshire home, pressed and lovingly kept to be used as the subjects of cyanotypes.
The wildflowers I love to use are Ox-eye Daisies, Umbelliferae and Wild Mallow.
I also use flowers from my own English country garden … Black-eye Susans – those gorgeous, cultivated daisies that are little drops of sunshine; and Hydrangea flowers that look like little butterflies.

Full description
This beautiful, unique ceramic trinket dish was created using a wild Umbellifer flower from the hedgerows around my lovely Wiltshire home.
What better way to show your Someone Special that you love them, than to give them such a unique gift? Who could resist a flower that lasts forever?
I used some sprinkles of sparkly gold ink and coarse sea salt in the wet cyanotype process. I also painted the rim with gold ink.
The crystalising effects that I get using salt during the wet cyanotype process never ceases to amaze me. I love the way that the salt diffuses when I spray the water, just before I expose the prints to UV rays. There is something really magical about creating these wet cyanotype prints. Every one of them is totally unique, and I never quite know how they will turn out.
