Botanical Art- This photogram started as a traditional blue cyanotype, and it was lovely as it was, I invited it to tea and a bit of a makeover.
It's now in Autumn colours of warm brown on a black background, with speckles of Blue and beige. This was achieved by toning. Tea contains tannin which when it comes into contact with iron compounds in the Cyanotype solution, can change the blue to black and the white botanical image takes on the colour of the tea. That's what I love about the Cyanotype process, you never quite know what results you will achieve. The photogram is enhanced perfectly with the walnut effect frame.

Created on 300gsm acid-free watercolour paper.
Named ‘Blue Eyes’ numbered and signed on the reverse, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as an Original Artwork 1/1
The dark Wood effect frame is approximately ”7.5" x 9.5" with a GLASS front, a white mount and acid free backboard. It has a back stand and can also be wall-mounted.
The Aperture size is approximately 5” x 7”
The framed photogram will be posted out in a lined postal box, that is reusable.
