I've been working on a thistle image to use on a musical instrument build, making a small inlayed piece was a nice way to test the design. I'm really pleased with the result. As usual the photos don't do justice to the colours of the wood!

Full description
Small wood inlay comprising three thistles made from holly set into a walnut background. I've applied an oil finish to protect the wood. The national flower of Scotland, thistles grow abundantly around the workshop each year.
Size; approximately 95 x 110 x 3 mm.
There is a small bracket on the back so it the piece can be hung up.
