I love taking old textiles and creating something new and beautiful. This bag started as some beautiful old bed linen with this lovely bird print. I laundered it and saved the good pieces and added other pastel fabric from my fabric stash to make a pretty tote bag.

Full description
A beautiful, fully lined soft cloth bag has so many uses. Perfect as a craft project bag (for knitting, crochet or a sewing project), it could be a shopper, great for taking lunch and a book to work or any other time when you need a decent size bag.
The fully lined bag measures 40cm x 40cm (16" x 16") when laid out flat, and handles that are 53cm (21") long.
This bag has a centre panel of print fabric featuring a bird on a branch, surrounded by pretty fabric patchwork. The back of this bag is a floral print and it is fully lined with a cream fabric.
It has a tie fastening in the centre.
This bag is soft and can fold up quite small which means it could pop into a handbag, glove compartment or suitcase easily.
Actual colours may vary slightly from the photos as every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours, and everyone sees colours differently. We edit our pictures to make them as life-like as possible for you.
At Sum of their Stories we like to make new items from old.
This bag used to be: upcycled shirts, dresses and bed linen
