I sourced the wood locally from a broken tree branches and used the larger pieces on another project, but the remaining shards inspired my work with wood and resin pendants. When the broken ends are encased in resin they resemble tiny, 3D, miniature landscapes and I found this a fascinating feature of the work.

Full description
This pendant is 2.5 inches long (approx 6cms) and is handmade from a reclaimed wood shard combined with hand-poured, clear resin and fine fragments of copper that sparkle in the light. The reclaimed wood has been sanded and has a matte finish with the shard ends encased in the resin.
The pendant is sold with a faux suede, coffee-coloured, knotted cord with a drop of approx.15 inches. (38cms). This photo shows it hung on cotton cord so to see how the suede cord appears please look at my other items.
