I love seahorses and now I live somewhere with enough eel grass along the coast for them to live in. I've only seen spiny seahorses up close alive once and that was at an inland captive breeding facility in Devon, where they plan to release them into the wild. I hope to see some one day when I'm snorkelling along Weymouth bay and harbour.

Full description
A wall hanging sculpture of a Spiny Seahorse in stoneware fired ceramic. Measuring 12cm x 12cm x 3cm these are sturdy enough to display outdoors and well as in.
They come in 2 different finishes, Electric blue/purple glaze or naturalistic coloured underglazes. All are individually hand painted and no two are exactly the same. They are fully weather proof and are strung on the back with a mixture of polypropylene and stainless steel which will not rot or rust.
The Spiny Seahorses can hang in four directions and can also be cemented into place within a wall or as an architectural feature. They have my makers seal on the back.
These celebrate the Spiny Seahorses that live along the Southern and Western coasts of the UK, wherever eel grass is undisturbed.
This is one of 7 animal sculptures in my 'Mini Beast' range.
