I also make these as tree decorations and as bas relief sculptures for indoor and outdoor spaces. I've painted many Wrens, over many years, in my bas reliefs, so it's lovely to get to paint this charming, loud, tiny bird without having to paint backgrounds too. We used to get them flying around our studio in Devon, and they are so impressive with their gutsiness defending their hunting patch, as well as their oh so loud song. I miss them now that I am in a large town. I hope my rewilded home garden will attract one in eventually.

Full description
A high fired, hand painted porcelain brooch of a Wren. Durable and best worn on a coat or jacket, this brooch also has a safety catch on the back preventing it from coming unclipped by accident. Produced in small numbers at my studio by the sea in Weymouth, UK, and entirely handmade by me. It comes with a high shine transparent ceramic glaze for that extra sparkle.
