I saw a demonstration for making ornaments using beads and that gave me the idea to use these old crystal necklaces for something similar.
They are unique as once a particular necklace is used that's it.

Full description
A pretty tree ornament made using vintage crystal beads from a 1930s necklace. The ornament is made from two half bullet shaped beads that formed the focal point of the necklace, in between is a crystal rondelle from the same necklace. Above and below are flat white beads and at the very bottom is a tiny bicone crystal with a rainbow shimmer. At the top is a flattened round crystal also from the necklace. All the beads are threaded onto fine beading wire and this is held in place by silver coloured crimps.
The ornament measures 13cm long including the loop and the bead section measures 5.5 cm long and approximately 1cm at it's widest point.
