THis lovely piece of sea glass came from a local beach, it seems the sea makes heart shapes from broken glass fairly often, it's difficult to keep the heart shape when beading round them as the lobes at the top are quite shallow. I bought a few second hand scarves with the idea of putting the larger pendants on them, it makes an unusual necklace and balances the size of the pendant well.

Full description
A large blue-green piece of sea glass which is heart shaped. The glass is fixed to a lightweight backing using beads stitched tightly in rows around it in shades of blue, green and silver. Once the glass is firmly fixed to the backing another backing of fine, white leather is added and a row of beads stitched along the edges to conceal them. To finish, several strands of seed beads, ending in a variety of white and pale blue shapes, including heart shapes and dagger beads, are stitched to hang around the heart, a larger crystal heart is at the centre of the strands. To hang the pendant a loop made of bead woven seed beads is attached at the top.
The scarf is a pale sage green with indian style patterns in a gold print, it is probably a man made fabric, quite fine but not quite chiffon.
A lovely dramatic necklace, quite summery in style, can be worn high on the neck or lower on the chest, wherever you tie the scarf.
