HANDSPUN KNITTED MERINO WOOL and SILK COWL, SCARF OR NECKWARMER
I handspun a super soft blend of 70% merino wool and 30% Tussah silk which had been expertly hand dyed by YummyFiberArts into a gradient fading from grey to turquoise to blue, into a medium weight yarn. I then knitted this cowl or neck warmer in a lacy stitch, with garter stitch edges to the top and bottom which roll gently inwards. This lovely blend is extremely soft and the silk gives a subtle sheen and a luxurious feel.
Great Mothers' Day or birthday gift.
It can be worn just as a neck warmer or pulled up over the nose andor mouth. The bottom edge is wider than the top edge so it sits more comfortably on the shoulders. Please see all the photos.
