ASYMMETRICAL SHAWL OR WRAP
Measurements - The longest edge of the shawl measures 122cm (48")
The depth at the widest part is 63.5cm (25")
I handspun some beautifully soft merino wool blended with silk in natural white. I also blended several shades of purple and pink merino wool with a little silk and spun this blend into an interesting 'art yarn'. I then knitted this asymmetrical shawl, wrap or scarf in alternating bands of garter stitch and lacy lattice stitch striping the contrasting colours. I added tassels to two of the points which add weight, helping the ends to stay in place.
This shawl is huggably soft and so versatile and can be worn in so many ways and it drapes beautifully. Please see all the photos. Even in the spring and summer months the mornings and evenings can be chilly so this is a great accessory to throw on for dog-walking, shopping or doing the school run.
As this shawl is my own design and is created from handspun yarn, not commercial yarn, you can be sure that it is a truly unique item.
Please bear in mind that different screens show colours differently.
