I always start with the pattern - and the ideal way to experiment with how it might look on what scale, in how many colours etc is to try it out first on a teatowel. Which means I always have too many teatowels to hand… or it would do, if they didn't make such excellent presents. Everybody could use an extra teatowel around the kitchen, and so much the better if it's in a mesmerising pattern. Whilst officially known as 'icicles' I think this pattern looks much more like a series of fishes swimming nose-to-tail - hence the name! And the added bonus is a different pattern on the other side!

Full description
This tea-towel has a hypnotic pattern hand-woven in bright red and pistachio (almost yellow-) green organic cotton. At 86 x 42 cm it is a useful size for drying items, and I have deliberately woven it slightly loose - all the better to both soak up water and to dry out again quickly! It can be machine-washed at 30° and is better left to air-dry - it may shrink if tumble-dried.
