I bought these semi precious discs as a chakra set, they are ideal for my beaded mount technique. This green one, made from Aventurine, is very pretty. After I had bought the sari silk they seemed like a prefect combination.

Full description
A disc of Aventurine, a semi precious stone, in lovely shades of green with crystal streaks across. The disc is set into a mount made from beads, beginning with a row of larger, transparent beads and reducing in size to the centre, some of these are vintage beads. Once the mount is complete the pendant is backed with fine, black leather. The mount is finished with a twisted edge of strands of green irridescent bugle beads and gold coloured seed beads. The hanging loop is created using varicoloured, matte beads with a needle weaving technique.
The pendant is hung from a length of recycled Sari Silk which has strands of gold coloured seed beads wound around it. The Sari silk is mostly green with blue and mauve patches.
The necklace is fastened with a T bar and loop made from beads, the T bar is made using irridescent beads with white ones at the ends, and the loop is made using the matte beads mentioned before.
The necklace is 43cm long, and the pendant measures approximately 6cm across and 7cm top to bottom including the loop.
A dramatic and unusual piece of jewellery, suitable for an elegant evening, or just anytime.
