These are my gold rimmed trinket dishes embossed with a butterfly design, which I have placed in my 'seconds' collection..
After the glaze firing the clear glaze around the rims was a little flaky, so I sanded them smooth and applied a gold acid-free non toxic ink pigment to enhance their appearance.
Size: 11 cms diameter x 3 ms height (approx)
These handcrafted ceramic trinket dishes have been created using the slab-work method and embossed with a butterfly stamp. Using a circular cookie cutter and placed into a mould to create their shape. Once dried they have been bisque fired to 1000c, after a gentle sanding they have been hand painted with underglazes with a clear glaze added. They have had a second firing in the kiln to 1160c.
Self-adhesive cork has been applied to the base to protect surface
All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristic.
