Full description
The colours of the rainbow sweep across the top of this 100% cotton patchwork quilt. Ideal to use as a sofa throw or a single bed cover. The quilt contains a layer of warm 80% cotton/20% polyester wadding. Would make a lovely gift for a young person or a student - sure to brighten any neutral decor!
Eighty squares, each made of thirteen carefully chosen strips of fabric have been stitched together in my home sewing studio to create this very special 55inches x 70inches (140cm x 178cm) throw.
For the back of the quilt I’ve chosen cotton fabrics that compliment the rainbow colours on the quilt top.
The three layers of the throw (top, wadding and back) are held together by radiating arcs of quilting stitches. I’ve used a rainbow thread so the arc shape and the changing colours of the thread echo the rainbow theme of this quilt.
Around the edge of the quilt is a strip of durable, double-layer binding made from a rainbow of cotton fabrics.
Machine washable on a gentle cycle.
