These Badgers are inspired by an interest in the animals, conservation and Follklore that exists around us in the local enviroment.
My first batch of these creatures came from coming across a very large Badger weaving its way at the edge of a clearing of trees.
The surrounding Woodland areas and easily acessed network of paths, support a wide variety of birds, insects and animals, providing me with a constant source of inspiration that runs throughout all of my work.
The Badgers own customized, robust box, is decorated with a touch Autumn.

Full description
This Keepsake Badger, has been hand modelled from earthenware clay and after carefull drying recieves a first kiln firing, allowing the peice to be layered with various coloured stains without being damaged and enhancing the fine details and surface textures.
Each Badger is then dipped into a clear earthenware glaze, before recieving a second kiln firing, deepening the coulours and giving each animal a smooth glossy finish to touch.
Each Badger is similair, but with very slight variations between each one due to being hand crafted, making each one unique.
Neatly packaged in its own decorated,robust box decorated with a hand printed crescent moon and pottery leaves and its own scroll, with some Badger facts and Folklore.
These Badgers measure approx 9.5cm at longest point, width of 3cm and approx 3 cm in height.
