I just loved these scraps of fabric and as they were such busy patterns I decided to machine stitch them instead of hand sewing them.

This little needle case is created from scraps of tape measure designed fabric and a stripy fabric in colourful shades of the rainbow plus a brown. The scraps have been machine stitched in a variety of stitches with an orange thread onto a calico backing. The case is embellished with a sewing charm, metal buttons and a sewing machine, recycled from an old necklace and some cream lace on the front and back. White lace ties for closure.
The cotton fabric lining has a light grey background with a design of cotton reels in shades of orange, yellow and red and the two pockets either end of the case are made from another tape measure designed fabric in shades of turquoise and teal. The pins and needle holder is made from a piece of wool felt in a mid grey and has the edges pinked.
Perfect for a gift for yourself or for a sewing lover.
Approx Dimensions H 14cm W 10cm.
