At the moment I am not able to take orders from Northern Ireland or ship there. Apologies to those in that region.
I love early to mid 20th century abstract art and textiles and did lots of sketches before I decided on the design for the centre. I like to leave the fired clay unglazed to show the natural grainy finish of the black stoneware and slip decorative effect.

In black stoneware ceramic, this little tray is perfect for displaying seashore and nature finds, keeping your keys handy, or beside your bed to pop your earrings and rings on. Or of course, it can stand alone as a piece of abstract art. I shaped it from black stoneware clay, with a raised frame edge and small rectangular handles. The central design in pastel shades against a dappled grey-white background, is inspired by abstract art from the 1930s and is my own creation, fired into the clay. The design features simple geometric shapes and lines. Underneath on the base is my potter’s mark of a swallow in flight. 16.5 x 14 x 2.5 cms. Because it’s unglazed it’s not suitable for food use.
