This is a unique piece inspired by the discovery of a rainforest at the summit of Mount Lico in Mozambique. I have tried to capture a slice of rock face with its varied plants and shrubs growing from the crevices.

Full description
Mount Lico, is a one of a kind, mounted 3D tapestry weaving with added embroidery and crochet elements. It has been hand woven with a mixture of wool, linen, cotton, and rayon yarns in various shades of brown, green, blue, grey and purple. It is woven in 3 pieces and joined together, the embroidery and crochet foliage added afterwards and the slits in the weaving are backed with different cotton and silk fabrics. It is stitched onto chicken wire and bent into a curved shape and fixed onto a fabric covered frame which measures 30 x 29 x 11cm and hangs from d rings with twine.
It will be well wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, boxed and posted by Special Delivery with Royal Mail. Where possible I reuse packaging to reduce cost to the customer and to the environment.
