This piece shows a cherry tree silhouette with three leaves changing colour in Autumn. It was inspired by a local walk and collecting cherry leaves which were beautiful Autumnal hues.

Full description
Cherry Leaves is a one of a kind, mounted tapestry weaving which has been handwoven with a mixture of wools in various shades of green, brown, orange, yellow and red. I have used bundles of wool to create subtle colour blends and used a soumak stitch to create the leaf’s central vein, I have used wadding underneath the tree silhouette and invisibly stitched around the trunk and some of the branches, to accentuate the the shape and form. It was woven sideways on my Spinspired loom (see photo) It is stitched onto a piece of felt covered mdf which measures 29 x 19 x 2cm and hangs from d rings with twine.
It will be well wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, boxed and posted by Special Delivery with Royal Mail. Where possible I reuse packaging to reduce cost to the customer and to the environment.
