Botanical Art-This pretty piece started out as a traditional Blue Cyanotype, lovely as it was, I gave it a bit of a pamper session and makeover.
It's now in Autumnal colours of warm brown on a navy/black background, this was achieved by toning. Tea contains tannin which when comes into contact with iron in the Cyanotype solution can change the blue to black and the white botanical image takes on the colour of the tea. That's what I love about the Cyanotype process, you never quite know what result you are going to get. Now enhanced perfectly with the Oak effect frame, and with a story to tell.

Created on 300gsm acid-free watercolour paper.
Named ‘Barty’ numbered and signed on the reverse, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as an Original Artwork 1/1
The double-mounted, Wood effect, Oak coloured frame is approximately ”6.5" x 8.5" (16.5 x 21.5 cm) with a GLASS front, the mount is ivory in colour with a white acid free backboard. It has a back stand and can be wall-mounted.
The Aperture size is approximately 4” x 6” (10cm x 15cm)
The framed photogram will be posted out in a lined postal box, that is reusable.
