I had an old circular saw blade, what else could I do but polish it up, make an adaptor and make a clock from it?

Full description
An unusual and quirky clock with minimalist and industrial feel. It is made from a new quartz sweep clock movement, with a smooth no ticking operation, fitted to a used, genuine industrial, tungsten-carbide tipped 10-inch circular saw blade. I machined and polished an adaptor boss from aluminium to fit the mechanism to the blade and welded a small steel stay to the back of the blade to ensure alignment. The steel blade has been polished to a nice shine, check out the reflections in the photos! The blade has 4 ‘question mark’ shaped cuts in its edge, originally to prevent resonance, which I have lined up to be markers for 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. There is a loop on the movement to hang the clock on your wall. Grab some real cutting-edge time telling technology for your home!
